West Wisconsin Landowner Assistance Program – Elk Creek Farm

Site Description

Elk Creek Farm is a 120-acre property located in West Wisconsin’s “coulee” country – a mix of steep hills and winding valleys, covered by forests, agriculture and prairie. The landowners’ goals are to maintain biodiversity, protect and improve wildlife habitat, reduce soil erosion, garden organically, and hike and hunt on the land. Our inventory and mapping work will provide the landowners a base map for developing a management plan for the property.

Land use & landowner goals

The landowners’ goals are to preserve and improve the quality of the remnant bluff prairie, CRP and forested areas; protect and improve wildlife habitat and stream water quality; garden organically; hike and hunt on the land.
